How To Protect Your Computer
DANBURY â At the August 3 Danbury Area Computer Society (DACS) general meeting, Jeff Setaro, a DACS officer and DACS own virus expert, will speak on the topic of securing computing in the Internet age.
Mr Setaro will describe the differences between viruses, Trojan horses, and worms. He will elaborate on malware and spyware and the âzombieâ problem. He will recommend antivirus software, personal firewall, and what to do to be safe using the Internet.
In the fast changing pace of the Internet, security is a major concern and the August DACS meeting will address the concern discussing the latest software and hardware to best protect a computer. The meeting will be at the Danbury Hospital Auditorium starting at 7 pm with computer questions and answers and brief club announcements. The main presentation will start at 8 pm.
