Heart Disease And Depression

BRIDGEPORT — “Heart Disease and Depression” is the presentation set for the monthly meeting of St Vincent’s Healthy Hearts (formerly the Fairfield County Heart Club) on Wednesday, October 4, at 7 pm in the Hawley Conference Center located on the Main Level of St Vincent’s Medical Center.

Featured speaker is cardiologist Charles Landau, MD, on active staff at St Vincent’s Medical Center, who will discuss the link between heart problems and depression, and how to combat it. Dr Landau has extensively researched depression in people with cardiac disease.

Dr Landau’s talk will begin at 7:30 pm. From 7 to 7:30 pm, nurses from St Vincent’s Medical Center will be available to take blood pressures. Light refreshments will also be provided at this time.
