Maggie Atkinson

Atkinson is a junior member of the Newtown High School girls’ swim team which won its eighth straight meet heading into Wednesday’s season-finale at Masuk in Monroe (after The Bee sports section went to press).

Favorite part about swimming: “The team because you make a lot of friends on the team and they’re huge motivation for you.”

Toughest aspect: Saturday morning practices.

Lucky number: 3.

Favorite subject: Social Studies.

Team she roots for: Boston Red Sox.
