Spinning For Regional Hospice

DANBURY — The World of Bikes of Newtown is joining with other area groups and the Fitness Revolution to sponsor the eighth annual Spin-A-Thon at the Danbury Fair Mall February 26 from 8 am to 4 pm to benefit the Western Connecticut chapter of Regional Hospice.

There will be one class per hour and each cost $10 per class. There will be a raffle and other giveaways. All proceeds will be donated to Regional Hospice.

Hospice programs assist terminally ill patients and their families who want to spend their last days in dignity and comfort at home.

World of Bikes has participated in the event for the past five years and is now one of the sponsors.

Each participant will receive a T-shirt, water bottle, and spinning towel. To reserve a bike call Fitness Revolution at 740-0282. Anyone who is unable to ride can stop by and make a donation.

“Spinning is a great form of exercise and it is even more fun when you are spinning for a cause,” said Mike Talarico, owner of World of Bikes, which is located at 317 South Main Street.
