To the Editor:

I usually don’t get involved with politics, but in the midst of all the negative political mail and ads flooding the airwaves, I wanted to share my support for Lisa Romano, a new candidate who has the vision, independent mindedness, and courage to stand above politics and fight for local families.

Over the past two years, while our current state representative was playing politics, building his resume, and voting against state funding for our local schools in Hartford, Lisa was working hard in town to ensure that despite these challenging budget times, we still find the resources to give our kids a solid education.

Lisa is not a politician; she is a committed parent, talented advocate and energetic community leader, who stands up for quality education for all our town’s children. She will be an effective problem solver and a strong voice for Newtown at the Capitol. That’s why I hope you will join me in supporting Lisa Romano on Election Day.
