Newtown Day Entertains A Crowd At Fairfield Hills
From food trucks and vendors to the Brew Garden, there was something for every attendee at the first Newtown Day community event, held on October 6 on the grounds at Fairfield Hills.
Newtown Parks & Recreation partnered with the Chamber of Commerce of Newtown and sponsors to present the event.
Near the entrance to the event, bounce houses jiggled as children jumped and played inside the inflatable play areas. Families milled around, some sampling ice cream before heading to the food truck area. Eric and Robyn Notaro and their 1-year-old daughter Maya shared a cup of cookie dough ice cream from the Ferris Acres Creamery tent in the middle of the day.
Down the stretch of tents, children took turns testing their skills in an agility ladder set up in front of NYA Sports & Fitness Center’s booth. At Edmond Town Hall’s tent, people could take turns tossing sacks at a Cornhole board for a chance to win a movie ticket. Many people gathered near the food trucks to order lunch for the day.
