POLE CAT INSULATOR CLUB SHOW TO BE APRIL 10 w/1 cut

ENFIELD, CONN. â The Yankee Pole Cat Insulator Club will have its annual Antique Insulator, Bottle and Collectibles Show on Sunday, April 10, at the American Legion Post #80, 556 Enfield Street (Route 5 at Exit 49, I-91). Show hours will be 8 am to 2 pm. There will be no admission charge for this yearâs show.
Forty sales tables will feature all types of collectibles, with an emphasis on antique insulators and related items such as old telephones and lightning rod equipment, but also including antique bottles and flasks, advertising, postcards, railroad items, milk bottles and other tabletop collectibles. There will also be an insulator display by a club member that will feature many rare and unique insulators from the past 100 years.
The Yankee Pole Cat Insulator Club is an organization of approximately 75 members from Northeastern states who share a common interest in collecting glass and porcelain insulators. The club was formed in 1971 and is the oldest active insulator club in the United Sates. This show will be the 44th that the club has hosted in its 33-year history.

OUTDOOR ANTIQUES SHOW ON APRIL 17 WILL USHER IN SPRING ON LONG ISLAND w/2 cuts

HUNTINGTON, N.Y. â A rite of spring on long Island is the annual antiques show in Heckscher Ballpark, benefiting the League for Animal Protection of Huntington, known locally and affectionately as âLAP.â Now in its 26th year, the show will take place on Sunday, April 17. Show manager Elias Pekale expects more than 100 dealers to participate.
âWe had a good winter antiques season on Long Island and weâre looking forward to an even greater spring renewal. Our emphasis has always been, âAffordable Quality Antiques,ââ said Mr Pekale. âWeâve built our reputation on shows designed to be exhibitor- and customer-friendly. We want our loyal customers to enjoy a comfortable shopping atmosphere and our dealers to understand that we genuinely care about their being successful.â
With a blend of old and new exhibitors at the show, buying opportunities will feature country and folk from David Nelz of Platypus Antiques and Lynn Davis from WingNuts. Back Street Antiques will display fine art. Depression-era items and phonographs will be featured by Tom Betterley. Garden accessories will be exhibited by Sheila Reider Antiques, Terri Chipperfield and Harry and Ginny. There will also be vintage costume jewelry, linens, ephemera, silver, fine porcelain, prints, books, decorative accessories, collectibles and more.
The show will take place outdoors, under tents, rain or shine on Sunday, April 17, from 10 am to 5 pm. Admission is $5, children under 12 admitted free. Heckscher Ball Park is located directly off 25A (Main Street), on Sabbath Day Path.

ALBANY, N.Y. â The public is invited to attend Center Fusion, Albany Center Galleriesâ silent art auction. There will be nearly 100 works of art for sale from the finest artists of the Mohawk-Hudson Region on April 22, from 6 to 9 pm. Guests will be entertained by Gavin Munoff Jazz Trio and Lily and the Rose Gourmet Catering Co will provide refreshments.
