Erratic Driving
Police report they observed motorist Glenn B. Zwiebel, Jr, 67, of Watertown driving erratically on Main Street, near Church Hill Road, about 1:30 am August 29, after which they pulled him over on Mt Pleasant Road to investigate.
Following field sobriety testing, police said they charged Zwiebel with driving while impaired and also with a travel lane violation. After he posted $100 bail, police released Zwiebel for a September 13 court appearance.
Two Charges
Police said that on the night of August 29, they stopped motorist Svay Siennakodam, 32, of Danbury after it was learned that Siennakodam was driving with a suspended license.
Also, police said the vehicleâs front seat contained too many passengers.
Police charged Siennakodam with driving while under suspension and with driving an overcrowded vehicle. Siennakodam was released on a written promise to appear in court on September 13.
Shoplifting
Police said that store security personnel at the Big Y supermarket at Newtown Shopping Village at 6 Queen Street spotted Yakeline Rodriguez, 24, of 23 Bonnie Brae Drive attempt to leave the store without paying for some merchandise on the afternoon of August 29. The woman had her two small daughters with her at the time, police said.
Police charged Rodriguez with sixth-degree larceny and with risk of injury to a minor. Rodriguez was released on $150 bail for a September 13 court appearance.
