Paul Russo Joins Christie's

NEW YORK CITY -- Christie's New York has announced today that expert Paul

Russo will join Christie's international jewelry team as a senior vice

president and a senior jewelry specialist.

Russo, 54, brings to Christie's 35 years of experience in the auction business

as well as a great knowledge of jewelry and the American market. He has

handled many of the world's most magnificent stones and top collections of

jewelry, as well as overseen many sales of extraordinary jewels.

Russo will be based in New York and joins Christie's New York jewelry

department, headed by Simon Teakle, senior vice president. Russo will help to

develop Christie's international sales and will play a large role in training

the firm's jewelry specialists around the world.

"His knowledge and experience will be of tremendous value, and to have a

colleague so widely respected and liked within the international trade is a

tremendous asset," said Teakle.
