8 Year Olds

NEWTOWN TROY BOYS 1, NEWTOWN GREY FOG 0: Chris Marks, Tommy Merrifield, and Drew Woods put three hits together to score the game’s only run. Jason Kostecki, Mickey Fay and Julien Wahlberg all played well in the field. For the Grey Fog, Jake DeVellis pitched a great game. Anthony Corleto and Bret LeBlanc led the defense.

 

Minors

NEWTOWN METS 12, NEWTOWN MUD DOGS 7: Nick Saviano homered while Gregory Larnerd, Ryan Clark, Jared Modzelewski, Stephan Toi and PJ Cochrane had two hits apiece to lead the Mets to the win. Toi and Saviano also pitched well, allowing just one run in their three innings. For the Mud Dogs, Tucker LaPak pitched three strong innings, had two hits, and made two great defensive plays. Jamie Post had three hits and scored three runs while Tanner Schmidt also played well.

NEWTOWN METS 4, TEAM #13 1: PJ Cochrane tripled, scored, and pitched a strong game to lead the Mets to the win. Gregory Larners also pitched well while Peter Griffiths and Adam Nanavaty played well on defense. For Team #13, Nick Urso was 3-for-3 while Jeff Davis tripled and scored. Francis Oggeri made a fine defensive play at first base/ Davis and Joe Greenfield put in good pitching performances.

13 Prep

NEWTOWN SOUTH 8, NEW MILFORD 6: Ronnie Shimko pitched two scoreless innings to kill one New Milford rally and Matt Myslewski pitched two scoreless innings to close out the game and preserve a Newtown victory. Anthony Santella led the offense with two hits while Brian McLaughlin had a strong game on defense.

NEWTOWN SOUTH 18, NEW FAIRFIELD 4: Anthony Santella, Adam Miller, and Rylan McCollum led the offensive attack as Newtown South routed New Fairfield. JoeDefeo pitched two strong innings and struck out three batters in the victory. Kris Crockett played well on defense.
