The Equine Resources Committee at Post University in Waterbury will start the 2008 series of Quiz The Experts Lectures beginning next month. There are three evenings planned for the horse enthusiast, covering a variety of subjects, including nutrition, buying/selling horses, and a return visit from Wendy Coren from Equalign.

Each program will be held at 7:15 pm on the following Fridays:

The first, March 7, is a lecture by Jessica Normand from Smartpak, who will discuss “Equine Nutrition” and how to balance your horse’s diet. She will also talk about supplements and which ones your horse might need.

On March 28, a panel of well-known trainers will share their ideas on “Buying and Selling the Performance Horse.” Suzanne Fisher, Virginia Leary, and Eugene Spagnola will give helpful hints from their wide experience on how to find the right horse for a customer or yourself. They will also give advice on the best way to sell a horse in their discipline.

Both of these lectures will be held in the Drubner Center (Room 201), at the top of the stairs on the second floor.

On April 11, Wendy Coren, a human/animal chiropractor, will make a return visit and she will speak, and demonstrate the chiropractic work for both horse and rider.

She is part of the team at Equalign Chiropractic Systems (Info@equaling.com). A live horse will be on hand for Coren’s demonstration so this lecture will be held in the Eagles Nest, Leever Student Center on the Upper Campus.

Tickets are available for $10 at the door (free to Post students).

Proceeds benefit equine scholarships and the Equine Program at Post. For information, call 203-596-4631 or email Cbaker@post.edu.
