Library Seeks Youth Volunteers

Young adults entering grade 6 and older who are interested in working with children and earning volunteer hours this summer, should attend an organizational meeting at the C.H. Booth Library on May 31 from 6:30-8 pm. Pizza and soda will be provided.

Last year several young adults volunteered at the library during the seven-week summer reading program.  They sat down with children one-on-one and discussed the books they had been reading over the summer. This summer the library staff would like to use young adults in the reading program again, but all potential volunteers must attend this meeting and a brief training session. The library can utilize only a limited number of volunteers. Anyone who is interested in volunteering should call 426-3851 to register.
