Monday through Friday, 2:30 to 4:30 pm. NYFS is now accepting applications from qualified 13–17-year olds who would like employment babysitting, pet-sitting, or doing miscellaneous household chores. Call for application.

Parent Education Program (PEP)

The State of Connecticut requires completion of this program as a prerequisite to granting a divorce. Sessions of the course sequence are designed to help families cope with the effects of divorce on children. Call 426-8103 for more information.

NYFS 22nd Annual Holiday Festival

The Newtown Youth & Family Services 22nd Annual Holiday Festival will be held Sunday, December 2, from 11 am to 5 pm, on Main Street. For more information, call 270-4335.

Halloween Decorating & Plant the Promise Party — Decorating the grounds at 17 Church Hill for Halloween as well as planting tulips and daffodils for “Look at Me: I’m Drug Free” Week will take place on Saturday, October 27, from 11 am to 2 pm. All are welcome to join.

Moms Programs

Moms of Infants up to one year will meet Tuesday, November 6, from 10:30 to 11:30 am, 17 Church Hill Road.

Gym Time next meets Wednesday, October 31, from 9:30 to 11:30 am, at Edmond Town Hall.

Youth Programs

Youth Advisory Board (YAB) will meet Monday, November 5, from 2 to 3 pm, in the high school cafeteria.

NYCAAP will meet Wednesday, October 24, from 7 to 8 pm, at Newtown High School.

Support Groups

Hope & Support will meet Monday, October 29, from 7:30 to 9:30 pm, 10 Glen Road. Run by Parent Connection.

Grandparents/Caregivers will meet Wednesday, November 7, from noon to 1:30 pm, 17 Church Hill Road.

Sib Shops will meet Wednesday, November 7, from 5 to 6:30 pm, 17 Church Hill Road.

Children of Divorce will meet Thursday, November 8, from 5 to 6:30 pm, 17 Church Hill Road.
