Vandalism/Theft

About 3 am on June 23, someone stole some curbside residential mailboxes and also damaged a mailbox/wishing well structure in the Taunton Hill Road area, according to police.

Police are investigating the incidents and ask anyone with knowledge of the crimes to contact Officer John McCluskey at the police station, 203-270-4236

Saab Vs Deer

Motorist Nathan Behr, 37, of 16 Paugussett Road was driving a 2003 Saab 9-3 sedan westward on Berkshire Road, near its intersection with Zoar Road, at about  8 am on June 23, when the vehicle collided with a deer, police said. Police said the accident was reported to them at about 3 pm that day. Behr was not injured. Police took no enforcement.

 

GMC Vs Honda

At about 10:30 am on June 26, motorist Thomas Clark, 53, of Monroe, who was driving a 2011 Honda Accord coupe, was waiting to pull out from the commercial driveway at 151 South Main Street onto the street, when motorist Mark Barnes, 38, of Middletown, who was driving a 2008 GMC pickup truck, backed into the Honda, police report.

There were no injuries. Police took no enforcement.
