To the Editor:

We write to express our outrage and deep sadness at the graffiti attack (it was absolutely an attack) on Adath Israel. We resolutely stand with our friends and neighbors who are members of the congregation in a spirit of unity, and we share their horror at this despicable act. We are appalled by this desecration of the synagogue. Our most fervent hope is that it was the act of a misguided youth whose ignorance can be remedied. We cherish our community and the friends we have made here. We believe your pain is our pain; an insult to you insults us, and our bond is our strength.

There is evil in the world, and we must ride out to meet it. We ride with you.
