GRANTVILLE, PENN. â The National Association of Milk Bottle Collectors will hold its 29th annual convention at the Holiday Inn here June 5â7.
NAMBC members will transform the hotel into a weekend of nostalgia packed with buying, selling and trading of milk bottles and dairy-related memorabilia. Most hotel rooms plus larger meeting areas become sales and display rooms for all three days. Larger displays will be featured in a special area starting Thursday afternoon.
An awards banquet will be Friday evening. Seminars and questions and answers with experts will take place as part of the educational portion of the convention.
A âSundae on Saturdayâ ice cream social with the Pennsylvania Dairy Princess will be followed by an auction of hundreds of rare and unusual milk bottles from several collections. A listing of bottles to be auctioned is available at www.milkbottlecollectors.com.
The public will be able to view exhibits and may meet with members. All attendees will be asked to register in the hospitality suite beginning Thursday morning.
Registration fee for NAMBC members is $10; nonmembers $12.
To join the NAMBCâs nearly 2,000 members, yearly membership is $22 US, $24 Canada and $27 International (via air mail). This also includes a subscription to âThe Milk Route,â the official publication of NAMBC; a directory of members, and free advertising in The Milk Route.
