Abandoned by his owners when they moved out of their apartment, four-year-old Griffin was discovered by the landlord a few days later. Starved for affection and food, he followed the landlord around, wrapping around his ankles and begging to be petted. Accustomed to being an only cat, Griffin is not at all happy living in an animal shelter. Despite his frustration, he fills his day playing with cat toys, chasing laser pens, and clamoring for human attention. Heâs happiest sitting on a personâs lap, putting his arms on their shoulders and rubbing his face against theirs. As a house cat who has never known the outdoors, Griffin must be placed as an indoor-only cat. Also he would do best as an only cat or with another non-aggressive, playful cat. If you are interested in Griffin or any of the other cats and dogs at the Danbury Animal Welfare Society shelter, call 744-DAWS or go to 147 Grassy Plain Street (Route 53) in Bethel weekdays from 6 to 8 pm or weekends from 2 to 4pm.
