Cub Scout Pack 170 Schedules Ice Cream Social And Recruitment Drive For September 17
Sandy Hook Cub Scout Pack 170 is inviting all boys and girls in kindergarten to fourth grade and their siblings to an ice cream social on Monday, September 17, at the Sandy Hook Elementary School, 12 Dickinson Drive, from 6:45 to 8 pm.
The event is an opportunity for parents and children to enjoy some treats and learn more about the year-round excitement and development opportunities that Cub Scouts provides.
In addition to registering new Scouts, the event will also offer the ability to renew current Scouts for the 2019 Scout year. Returning Scout re-registration is $90 (or $102 with optional subscription to Boys’ Life magazine through end of 2019) cash or check payable to Pack 170. New Scout registration is $112 (or $128 with optional Boys’ Life magazine subscription through end of 2019). These are pro-rated for the remaining four months of 2018 and all of 2019.
For parents of girls, the national Boy Scouts of America (BSA) is introducing “Family Scouting” this year, expanding the Cub Scouts program to boys and girls. To do that in Pack 170, the pack is looking for leadership help.
