Pitching In For Earth Day

On Saturday, April 23, Cub Scout Pack 570, sponsored by St Rose of Lima Church, participated in National Earth Day for the Boy Scouts of America. Pack members and their families worked on the grounds of the Parish Religious Education Center on Church Hill Road by raking and removing all old brush and plants. New mulch was donated by Walsh Mulch and delivered to the site by LRM Landscaping. The scouts spread out the mulch and then planted pansies and impatiens around the area. Newtown Country Mill donated some flats to help with the project. Pizza was donated by Carminuccio’s and Pizza Palace for the scouts and their families to enjoy.
