Iassogna followed that up at Connecticut State Age Group Championships at Wesleyan University by dropping a mind boggling two seconds from his 100 butterfly to finish ninth statewide with a 1:09.26 and 10th overall in the 50 fly (30.73).

Other Mako notable best times 2004:

Jenn Iassogna finished 2:17.56 in the 200 freestyle at the Yankee Cluster; Mari Conlon finished 1:04.38 in the 100 backstroke at the Eastern Zones and finished 2:16.92 in the 200 backstroke at the Connecticut Seniors; Stefan Toi finished 2:18.12 in the 200 butterfly and 1:00.70 in the 100 butterfly at the Connecticut Age Group championships.

In addition to the returning swimmers, the Makos enter long course season with a strong senior group that now includes Newtown’s Amy Robinson, Liz Gugino, Anthony Fiore, Abby Atkinson, Emma Atkinson and Samantha Howe.
