Andrew   Kopchak, Jr

Andrew Kopchak, Jr, 88, of Coolridge Road, Milford, beloved husband of the late Mildred (Morgan) Kopchak, died May 25 at his home.

A son of the late Andrew and Anna (Pucell) Kopchak, Sr, he was born February 1, 1915, in Bridgeport, and was a resident of Milford for more than 35 years.

Mr Kopchak is survived by five sons, Andrew Kopchak and his wife, Charlene, of Newtown, Michael Kopchak, Robert Kopchak and his wife, Linda, Alan Kopchak and his wife, Marilyn, Thomas Kopchak and his wife, Lori, all of Milford; seven daughters, Jean Goodwin, Margaret Kopchak, and Catherine Kopchak, all from Milford, Dorothy Zargo and Marilyn Dennis, both of North Branford, Rita Gleason of Stratford, Elaine Haslob and her husband, Robert, of Monroe; 38 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Catherine Liscinsky of Stratford. He was predeceased by a daughter, Anne Sauer; a grandson, Erich Kruger; and two great-grandchildren, Terri Young and Robert Zargo, III.

Mr Kopchak was a mechanic for more than 40 years at the former Locke Manufacturing Company in Bridgeport until his retirement.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St Mary Church, 70 Gulf Street, Milford, on May 28 followed by interment in St Mary Cemetery.

Arrangements were in care of the Cody White Funeral Home, 107 Broad Street on the Green, Milford.
