Robert Vachon was nourished within the Roman Catholic philosophical and theological milieu of the Americas and Europe, yet immersed in the ashrams of India. He articulated a vision of God as nondiscriminatory. Mr Vachon’s life is characterized by an unconditional acceptance of all cultures and religions.

The author, Mr Baxer, is director of the Intercultural Institute of Connecticut. He has lived, studied, and worked in many different countries promoting a spirit of tolerance, acceptance and collaboration in local, national, and international church and academic institutions.
