Two-Day Flower Festival Will Celebrate St Stephen’s Church

RIDGEFIELD — As part of a series of events honoring the 275th anniversary of St Stephen’s Church in Ridgefield, the church’s Altar Guild is sponsoring a Flower Festival on Saturday, March 4, and Sunday, March 5.

Arrangements of fresh spring flowers, accompanied by recorded classical music, will be on view on Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm and Sunday from 11:30 am to 4 pm. The flowers will remain on display Sunday during the 8 and 10 am services and also during a concert by Fair Winds Brass Ensemble scheduled for 4 pm. The festival will be presented on the grounds of St Stephen’s at 351 Main Street (Route 35).

The two-day festival will honor the church as well as focus on the natural beauty of flowers, which have always been a part of St Stephen’s services and celebrations. Twenty designated areas within the church will showcase arrangements by selected florists, designers, nurseries, garden clubs and gifted individuals who were invited to participate. Hostesses will be available to answer questions.
