Bus Safety Issues
To the Editor:
A serious situation was brought to my attention at a recent bus driver safety meeting. Please give us your full cooperation and understanding on the following issues:
Safety At Your Bus Stop â If your child arrives late at your designated bus stop, you must not allow the child to run after the school bus in an attempt to board it before it departs. It is dangerous for anyone to run in back of a bus or along side of it. The result could be disastrous.
Do Not Flag Or Chase After The Bus â Children should be at their designated stops approximately ten minutes before the bus arrives. If you are late arriving to your stop, please cooperate with us and drive your child to school.
Board the bus at your assigned stop only. Bus drivers will not stop once they leave a designated stop. Do not drive your child to the next stop.
If you have any questions, contact me.
Respectfully Yours,
Mary M. Kelly - Director of Transportation
