This monthâs featured speaker will be Hal S. Wasserman, MD, director of interventional cardiology. He will discuss advancements in treating cardiovascular problems through minimally invasive, interventional techniques and other technological developments.
Prior to the program, free cardiac risk factor assessments and blood pressure screenings will be conducted in the auditorium foyer from 6 to 7 pm, offered by clinical staff from the Department of Cardiology.
The Cardiac Support Group meets at Danbury Hospital on the third Wednesday of the month (with the exception of this February), and offers people with heart disease, pre- and postoperative cardiothoracic surgical patients, their families, and caregivers education, encouragement, and support.
