Slippery Road

Police report a motor vehicle accident on a hazardous wet section of Castle Hill Road, near its intersection with King Street.

While traveling on a curve on Castle Hill Road about 5:30 pm August 10, motorist Greg Cullen, 46, of 10 Orchard Hill Road, who was driving a 1997 Saturn coupe, was unable to stop and struck the rear end of a 2001 Honda CRV driven by Geraldine Brown, 45, of 64 Toddy Hill Road, police said.

There were no injuries. Police verbally warned Cullen for failure to drive a reasonable distance apart.

Missing Beetle

About 5:20 pm August 9, motorist Kevin Lin, 16, of Easton was driving a 2005 Subaru Impreza sedan northward on South Main Street and approaching a driveway entrance to Sand Hill Plaza, when a Volkswagen Beetle driven by an unknown person pulled out of that driveway and headed northward, cutting in front of the Subaru, police said.

The Subaru swerved to the left to avoid a collision but struck some curbing, police said. Lin was not injured.
