Mocha Coffee House will have live music Thursday through Saturday, November 15-17, while it co-hosts âA Gathering of Artistsâ with new neighbors Wishing Well.
While visitors mill about Wishing Well (the new boutique in the former Tre Regazze location; see John Voketâs full story on the Enjoy cover page this week), Mocha will offer refreshments, free wi-fi access, an art exhibit by local artist Pat Cordelli, and live music Thursday through Saturday evenings. Wishing Well employee KEVIN KING will join Mocha staffers GARRETT UHDE and AARON CESNICK for a night of high-spirited rock Thursday, while Sandy Hook native JD HILL steps into the spotlight to share his impassioned brand of classic/indie rock vocals and funky guitar on Friday.
JOHN VOKET will team up with his buddy BRENDAN WALSH for a lively night of acoustic jam music Saturday beginning at 7:15 pm.
*BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN & THE E STREET BAND will continue their hugely successful current tour with a return to the area in the new year. The band will be back at Hartford Civic Center on Thursday, February 28, and tickets for that show â which I guarantee will see out quickly â will be going on sale Monday morning at 10. Tickets are $67.25 and $97.25 for reserved seating and $97.25 for general admission floor (make sure which of the upper-priced tickets you want when youâre ordered), and will be available through LiveNation and TicketMaster vendors on Monday. The civic centerâs box office will not be open for first-day of tickets sales.
*After a five-year hiatus, MATCHBOX TWENTY has new music (as part of a greatest hits album) and is ready to hit the road. And hit the road they shall, including a stop at Mohegan Sun Arena on February 18 along with ALANIS MORISSETTE and newcomer MUTE MATH.
Tickets will be going on sale this morning (Friday, November 16), through TicketMaster vendors. The arenaâs box office will begin selling tickets tomorrow. Seats have been priced at $49, $59 and $99.
Also on Friday tickets for country superstar TRACE ADKINS, who will have special guest Jo Dee Messina with him for a December 30 concert, will be on sale as of 10 am through TicketMaster vendors. Tickets will be available at the casinoâs box office beginning Saturday morning.
*Two more shows will be going on sale Saturday morning for Mohegan Sun Arena stops. These shows will be available through TicketMaster on Saturday, and also at the arenaâs box office on Sunday (are you starting to see a pattern yet?). The arena will host the self-proclaimed âdevil without a causeâ KID ROCK on Friday, January 4; tickets are all $39 for this one.
AVRIL LAVIGNE will bring her Best Damn Tour to the Uncasville arena on Saturday, April 12, and tickets have been set at $39.50 and $49.50 for this show.
Until next week Iâll be seeing you... on the road.
