To the Editor:
It is time for Newtown to choose a new leader, so letâs talk about leadership. If you ask folks what characteristics they think a good town leader should possess, you will hear things like: integrity; compassion, humility, vision, patience, trustworthiness, common sense, and the list goes on. In addition, they need to be accessible, articulate, well informed, experienced in managing people and budgets, persuasive, and known to have the best interest of the community at heart. Where does one find such a person?
We believe that Newtown is uniquely fortunate to have among its citizens one of whom it can be said, measures up to the aforementioned described good town leader. With years of experience successfully managing a sizable and diverse workforce coupled with an impressive record of public service in and for the benefit of Newtown, there is no doubt in our minds that Pat Llodra will not only âget the job done,â but get it done in a way that will make Newtown very, very proud. That is why we support Pat Llodra for first select(wo)man. We hope you will to.
Respectfully,
David and Sandra Brown
