Fees Payable To Principalâs Office;
âNoises Off!â Delayed To January

Newtown High Schoolâs $40 flat fee issued earlier this month for students participating in extracurricular activities will be handled through Principal Bill Manfredoniaâs office.
âThis way it lifts the burden from advisors,â Mr Manfredonia explained. Payments can be delivered directly to the principalâs office. Club members who paid their $40 prior to the school boardâs flat fee decision are exempt from paying additional money.
Despite the payment snafus, Mr Manfredonia said that the clubs are generally up and operating.
One exception, however, is the student-directed fall play Noises Off! Drama Club advisor Tom Swettsâ bout with pneumonia has delayed production until January.
In the meantime, Mr Manfredonia said, next monthâs holiday concert schedule should keep the schoolâs auditorium frequently â and fully â occupied.
