Paintings By Jerry Clarkson

At Easton Library

EASTON — Easton Public Library, at 691 Morehouse Road, will exhibit paintings by Jerry Clarkson, a painter, designer and teacher who is a longtime Easton resident.

The exhibit will be open for viewing on September 2 in the conference room of the library and will remain on view until Saturday, October 19.

On Saturday, September 11, Mr Clarkson will conduct a painting demonstration in the community room of the library from 4 to 6 pm.

On Tuesday, September 14, there will be a reception from 6 to 8 pm, which will be held in the conference room with the artist present. Good cheer, refreshments and conversation will be present in an informal atmosphere.

Jerry Clarkson has had a long career as creative art director, designer and illustrator in New York and Connecticut. He has also taught drawing and paintings at Sacred Heart University, Trumbull and Redding High School continuing education adult programs, as well as private classes in Fairfield.

Starting Monday, September 20, Mr Clarkson is scheduled to teach adult watercolor classes at Easton Community Center, 364 Sport Hill Road.

Easton Public Library hours are Monday and Friday from 10 am to 5 pm, Tuesday and Wednesday from 10 am to 8 pm, Thursday from 10 am to 6 pm, and Saturday from 10 am to 3 pm. Call 261-0134 for additional information.
