The Impact Of Energy And Global Warming

BROOKFIELD — Films about energy and global warming impacts on humans around the world will be screened during the next meeting of the Housatonic group of The Sierra Club.

Earth To America takes aim at global warming and features comedians such as Steve Martin, Robin Williams, and Ben Stiller, as well as Tom Hanks, Robert Kennedy, Jr, and others. Toast is a short film that demonstrates the underlying and continuing dependence on fossil fuels by using a common product requiring fuel input throughout its product life.

The films will be shown on Monday, November 19, at Brookfield Community Center, 100 Pocono Road. The program will begin at 7 pm. Following the screenings there will be a discussion about the climate change challenge and what can be done about it.
