When Are Children's Threats Serious?
 When Are Childrenâs Threats Serious?
The Family Counseling Center Inc. of Newtown will present a free public workshop, âChildrenâs Threatâs: When Are They Serious?â in the community room of the C.H. Booth Library on Main Street from 7 to 8:30 pm on Tuesday, April 24.
Most threats made by children are not carried out. Many such threats are the childâs way of talking âbigâ or tough or of getting attention. Some of these threats are a reaction to perceived hurt, rejection, or attack. How can you tell when it is real?
Merry Frons, a licensed clinical social worker, will lead the discussion on this important topic. Parents with school-age children are encouraged to attend. Refreshments will be served.
