‘Spectra’ Still On View At Silvermine

NEW CANAAN — Through December 22, Silvermine Guild Arts Center is presenting “Spectra 2004, The National Photography Triennial Competition” in two of its galleries.

The major exhibition offers 114 photographic examples by photographers from across the country as selected by juror Barbara Hitchcock, the curator and cultural affairs director of The Polaroid Corporation.

Also through the 22nd Silvermine is offering “Director’s Choice: Icons of 20th Century Photography,” with images by classic masters including Diane Arbus, Richard Avedon, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Alfred Stieglitz and others, curated by Helen Kessler During.

“An Enchanted Forest of Artist Ornaments” features handmade ornamentrs by Silvermine Guild members.
