Two Arrested Following Incident at Lobster Fest
 Police report they arrested two 17-year-old youths following a violent incident at the Sandy Hook Volunteer Fire & Rescue Companyâs heavily attended annual Lobster Fest at the Riverside Road firehouse on the night of Saturday, June 9.
Police described both of the arrested persons as âyouthful offenders,â whose identities are shielded from public disclosure by state law.
Police also withheld the identity of the 15-year-old victim of the incident.
About 10 pm, one youthful offender made some verbal threats about using a knife and then brandished a knife toward the victim, police said. The other youthful offender grabbed the victim by the throat and brought the person to the ground, placing the victim in a headlock, police said.
The two accused then left the area, after which they were located at one of their homes and were arrested without incident, police said.
The victim received minor injuries to the neck and shoulder, but did not require medical treatment, police said.
Police charged each of the two youthful offenders with third-degree assault, breach of peace, and risk of injury to a minor. Police additionally charged one of the youthful offenders with first-degree reckless endangerment and second-degree threatening.
Following arrest processing, police released each of the two youths on $1,000 bail bonds for June 22 appearances in Danbury Youthful Offender Court. Such court sessions are closed to the public.
