Genealogist To Speak At Club Meeting
Frederick C. Hart Jr, a certified genealogist who specializes in the families of Fairfield County and the Connecticut shoreline, will present âDNA Success Storiesâ to the Genealogy Club of Newtown Wednesday, June 20, at 7 pm, in the meeting room of the C.H. Booth Library.
Mr Hart is a graduate of Dartmouth College and The Thayer School of Engineering and retired from a career in electrical engineering and management with New Englandâs largest electric utility in 1995. His genealogical articles have appeared in many of the major journals, including The American Genealogist, The New England Historical and Genealogical Register, The New York Genealogical and Biographical Record, and most often in Connecticut Ancestry, where he has been a regular contributor since 1989.
He is presently genealogist of Connecticut Ancestry Society and an active member of the Connecticut Professional Genealogists Council, in addition to several other historical and genealogical societies.
