Violinist David Gale To Perform Recital

DANBURY — David Gale will present his third violin recital at Danbury Music Centre on Saturday, November 3, at 8 pm. 

Mr Gale is currently a student at the Manhattan School of Music studying under Professor Lucie Robert. He is also a student of Aaron Rosand of the Curtis Institute of Music. He has given solo performances and recitals in Italy, Poland, and in the West Indies on the Caribbean Island of St. Martin.

The program will include Sonata for Violin and Piano in D Major by Jean Marie Leclair (1697-1764); Sonata No. 2 in A Major for Violin and Piano by Johannes Brahms (1833-1897); “Introduction and Tarantella” by Pablo Sarasate (1844-1908); and Romantic Pieces for Violin and Piano, Op. 75 by Antonin Dvorak (1841-1904). The recital will conclude with the fiery Scherzo-Tarantella by Henryk Wieniawski (1835-1880).

Mr Gale will be accompanied by Evan Solomon.

Admission to the performance is free thanks to funding from Home Instead Senior Care.
