Town Meeting Set On Appropriations

The Board of Selectmen voted unanimously on Tuesday to set a special town meeting for December 3 at 7 pm at the C.H. Booth Library for appropriations for two school projects.

Voting will take place for $400,000 for the planning, design, and construction of new classrooms at Newtown High School and $245,000 for architectural and engineering services for planning and design of renovations to the heating, ventilating, and air conditioning system at Head O’ Meadow Elementary School and issuance of bonds to meet the appropriation.

The Board of Finance and Legislative Council have approved the projects.
