School Officials Should Resign
School Officials Should Resign
To the Editor:
Due to the most recent action of the Board of Education and Dr Evan Pitkoff, which has both embarrassed the town and set us up for an outrageous lawsuit regarding their allegations against Sabrina Post, we ask for the immediate resignations of the members of this committee as well as the superintendent.
Their decision to arrest rather than discuss show no consideration for the students of this community or the taxpayers. Their charges against Ms Post stem from confusion over the monetary amount that is under $3,000. This is an absurdly small amount of money that will end up costing the town hundreds of dollars in legal fees. For those in the community that donât understand how ridiculous this charge is, Ms Post has access to more than 30 times that amount just from the receipt of the high school productions. This action reeks of vendetta and not justice.
Shame on you Dr Pitkoff and Board of Education members. In a move that is out of character with our past support of all Board of Education policies and to indicate our dissatisfaction of their recent decisions regarding our money and the education of our children, we strongly urge the community to vote No in the next town budget referendum, demand the immediate resignation of Dr Pitkoff, and the reelection of new members to the Board of Education!
Sincerely,
Phyllis C. Braun, PhD
