Innovation Day For Technology

HARTFORD — The Alliance for Connecticut Technology will hold an Innovation Day and award dinner on Wednesday, September 28, at the Connecticut Convention Center. The event will feature workshops and networking from 1 to 6 pm, culminating with a reception and awards dinner from 6:30 to 9 pm.

There is no cost to attend the day’s workshops. The dinner is $95 for members and any Tech Alliance organization, and $125 for nonmembers.

Innovation Day will include a fair with a poster exhibit showcasing more than 100 of the state’s most innovative companies, entrepreneurs, researchers, and inventors. The goal is to facilitate partnerships and collaborations between the exhibitors and the attendees.

At the awards dinner, Gov M. Jodi Rell will present the Connecticut Medal of Science. The guest speaker will be Sir Harold Evans, editor at large of The Week magazine, and author of the critically acclaimed They Made America: From the Steam Engine to the Search Engine: Two Centuries of Innovators.
