Hospice At Home, a program of Visiting Nurse Services of Connecticut, Inc (VNS of CT), will hold a Memorial Service to mourn the death and celebrate the lives of all those special people who were cared for from April 1, 2005, through March 31, 2006.Â
The service remembers patients cared for through the Oxford office of VNS of CT. This service will be held on Tuesday, May 2, at 7 pm, at St Peterâs Episcopal Church, corner of Dutton and Oxford Road (Route 67), in Oxford.
Along with the families and friends of the deceased, caregivers from VNS of CT are invited, as well as hospice volunteers, involved clergy, physicians, hospital and nursing home staff. Interested community members are also welcome to attend the service and the reception that will follow.Â
Those who have not had any prior involvement with Hospice at Home are welcome to attend also.
The reception provides all of the caretakers, family, and friends the opportunity to come together once again to share feelings and gain some sense of closure.
