Lyme Event At Home And Garden Expo

GREENWICH — In late September, two related events will be held to raise funds to aid the Greenwich Lyme Disease Task Force, Inc. The events, a Gourmet Food & Wine-Tasting Party and Silent Auctions, will be held in conjunction with the Home & Garden Expo, which will take place at the Greenwich Civic Center, 90 Harding Road, Old Greenwich, on September 29 and 30, from 10 am until 5 pm.

The Gourmet Food and Wine-Tasting will be held on Saturday night, September 29, from 6:30 pm until 9:30 pm. Guests will be invited to sample a superb selection of fine wines provided by Horsenack  Wines & Liquors of Greenwich. Gourmet foods and hors d’oeuvres will be prepared by six of the area’s finest restaurants: La Cremaillers Restaurant, Le Chateau, Meson Galicia, Restaurant Jean Louis, Sonora Restaurant and Versailles. The Greenwich Lyme Disease Task Force, Inc. will present each guest of this food and wine-tasting  event a fine art gallery poster by the acclaimed artist from Brittany, Jean Duquoc.

The silent auction will feature a state-of-the-art aquarium, artworks by Jean Duquoc and Royo, furniture, home accessories, and other products and services valued at between $500 and $2,000 per item. The items will be displayed at the donors’ exhibit booths as well as in other areas of the exhibit halls. A second silent auction will be held on Sunday, September 30, from 10 am to 5 pm and will feature a new Audi TT Roadster Convertible valued at over $40,000. It is  anticipated that more than 30 exhibitors – including kitchen, interior, architectural and landscape designers, window, décor and millwork suppliers; marble, stone and tile businesses; garden accessory and statuary dealers and many more — will participate.
