Girl Scout Flag Ceremony

Do you have any old flags that you don’t know what to do with? Jennifer Kessler, a Newtown Girl Scout, is planning to hold a ceremony to retire old flags for her Silver Award Project. If there are any old flags that you would like to retire with respect, there will be places where you can drop off your flags. Look for boxes placed at The Newtown Bee, the Cyrenius H. Booth Library, and the Newtown Recycling Center.

The ceremony will be held at the Veterans of Foreign Wars on Main Street in Newtown on Friday, November 17, at 7 pm.
