The Newtown High School classes of 1961, 1962, 1963, and 1964 have scheduled a multi-class reunion for June 28, from 6 to 10 pm, at Michael’s At The Grove, 42 Vail Road, Bethel.

The cost will be $34 per person, with a cash bar.

Recently, Dr Joel Kunkel, Class of 1961, hosted a lunch at the Pequot Yacht Club in Southport with Terry Madsen Qubick, Class of 1962; Pat Hinckley Reese, Class of 1963; Dan Lawler, Class of 1963; and Herb Rosenthal, Class of 1964. Each of the attendees has been working for several weeks, contacting as many of their fellow classmates as they are able to locate. The group hopes for assistance from other classmates to contact fellow graduates.

Overall, a good turnout for the event is anticipated.

While the focus of the reunion will be on the classes of 1961-64, NHS alumni who were members of the classes a few years before or after who knew people during the focus years are also welcome to attend.
