Martha A.    Meerbach
Martha A. Meerbach, 78, a retired homemaker and bank officer of Monroe, died May 9 at her home. She was born in Bridgeport and was a Monroe resident for many years.
Survivors include her brother, Ernest Meerbach of Sandy Hook; one nephew, Eric Meerbach and his wife, Beverly, of Atlanta, Ga.; one niece, Linda, and her husband, Bill Slavin, of Mooresville, N.C.; and two grandnieces, Erica Meerbach and Kathleen OâConnor.
A 1945 graduate of Central High School, she was also a member of the choir at Notre Dame of Easton Church and the Old Academy Singers.
Funeral services were held May 14 in the Cyril F. Mullins Trumbull Funeral Home and in Notre Dame of Easton Church. Interment was in Oaklawn Cemetery, Fairfield.
