‘Unity In Diversity’

Corpus Christi Faith Community presents Unity In Diversity on Charter Cable Television, Channel 21. On Monday, June 20, at noon, and Wednesday, June 22, at 5 pm, the Corpus Christi Faith Community will offer insights into the future of a married priesthood within the Catholic Church.

The moderator for this program will be Tony Wiggins, chairperson of the Voice of the Faithful community in the Diocese of Bridgeport.

On June 27 and 29 the program will feature “VOTF Part III,” excerpts from The Voice of the Faithful Conference, held in Boston last year, with host, the Rev Leo McIlrath. On the following weeks, talks by Canon Lawyer Father Thomas Doyle, will address additional issues of the Voice of the Faithful. Programs featuring many of the religious communities of the local area will be seen in the weeks and months ahead.

Unity in Diversity encourages all people to take the opportunity to learn about their neighbors from other faith communities, as well as their own, in a nonthreatening way. “If we really know one another, we have a better opportunity to work with one another,” Rev McIlrath said.
