Boys U10

Brookfield 3, Bombers 0 – Sam Pliszka and Connor Gallagher played well through the midfield. Robert Linden led the offense. Austin Raftery played well through the back.

Southbury 1, Newtown 0 – Jacob Moore and Doug Miller played well in the net while Johan Muniz was strong on defense, but Newtown could not hold off Southbury. Charlie Helgren and Brandon Marks led the charge on offense.

Girls U10

Danbury 2, Newtown 0 – Alexandra Brazo and Shannon O’Gorman forced the ball to the Danbury side during the second half and strong goaltending by Karlie Kuligowski and Emily Grimes kept it a close game.

Girls U11

Flash 7, Danbury 0 – Brittany Tolla, Christina Gould, Morgan Kirol, Melissa Buccino and Kelsey Karp all scored as the Flash rolled to the win.

Girls U12

Power 1, Brookfield 1 – Ale Fuentes scored the lone goal for Newtown in a draw with Brookfield. Ali Korchman, Jessica Jowdy and Meaghan Carney played strong at midfield while Leah Barrett, Cristina Naldini and Cassie Fallon played well at defense. Kendall Svanda and Stefanie Clavette shared the goal.

Boys U13

Strikers 4, Litchfield 0 – Kyle Moore scored a pair of goals while Daniel Lynch and Aaron Nezvesky added one apiece to lead the Strikers to the win. Assists were provided by Tony Vacaro, Michael Gould, Lynch and Moore. Daniel Lynch and Thomas Capozziello both did an outstanding job shutting out Litchfield in the goal.

 

Boys U14

Newtown 3, Danbury 1 – Matt Iassogna scored two goals while Danny Clement scored one to lead the Newtown attack. Matt Baier, Eric Keogler and Kyle Kromberg controlled the midfield as Ralph Sergiovanni played well in goal as well as Danny Clement shutting down the Danbury offense.

Girls U8

Huskies 6, Cheetahs 2 – Sarah Lynch scored four goals to lift the Huskies. Meghan Grimes and Katie Laaksonen also scored goals as Hannah Booth was great in defense. Brenna Kelly scored twice for the Cheetahs while Sarah Bender, Madeleine Peck and Emma Johanesen played well.

All Stars 3, Racing Stripes 1 – Shelby Tolla scored two goals and Emily Charash added another with assists by Casey Harkins to lead the All Stars. Maren Brady played aggressive defense all game. For the Stripes, Taylor Lafave scored the goal with help from Emily Riley. Rachel Williams was strong in goal and Christina DeBartolomeo played great on defense.

Munchkins 5, Ball Hogs 2 – Amy Martinelli scored four goals and Caroline Tanner added one to lead the way for the Munchkins. Annie Hoffman played great overall and the speedy Nicole Russo was solid. For the Hogs, Kaylie Daniels and Caitlin Filiato scored goals. Erica Smith was great in goal as Victorie Teixeira and Stephanie Haas played well.

Mustangs 4, Huskies 0 – Jessica Coughlin, Stephanie Devaney, Jessica Keller and Lucy Helgren all scored a goal for the Mustangs. Jacqueline Mooney had a great all around game for the Huskies as well as Mikayla Koligowski, who was strong up front with several shots on goal and Amanda Mele, who was awesome in goal.

Dolphins 3, Fireballs 0 – Caitlyn Linden scored two goals and Anita Luxkaranayagam added one to lead the Dolphins to the win. Jesse Sailer and Emily Turco played solid D. For the Fireballs, Portia Baudisch and Katerina Rings anchored the offense as Genevieve Denault and goalie Riley Smith played well on defense.

Cheetah Champions 4, Tigers 1 – Cassy Fischer scored two goals while Kimberly Brello and Kayleigh Shambelan scored one each to lead the Cheetah Champions. Anna Biondi played solid defense. For the Tigers, Katie Bedell scored the goal as Amanda Martinez, Catherine McHugh and Emma Burns each played a great game.

Lady Hawks 4, Tigers 0 – Meg Korchman had a hat trick and Kailee Dunnigan added a solo goal the power the Hawks. Megan Milano and Haley Ryan played great games. Laura Sullivan, Olivia Hamula, Veronica Moyer and Katie Ingersoll were outstanding for the Tigers.

Boys U8

Rockets 2, Blue Dragons 1 – John Rospenda scored both goals to lead the Rockets. Nathan Augenbraun was very strong at midfield and Alister Sore played a great overall game. For the Dragons, Patrick Berger scored as Gordon Walsh played well in the goal and Carter Nordman had an outstanding overall game.

Huskies 3, Badgers 0 – Jared Brady and Jordan Abraham each had a goal and an assist to lead the Huskies. Declan Sullivan also scored with an assist from Michael Parker. For the Badgers, Max Galassi, Kyle Watkins and Tyler Dullinger all played well.

Bulldogs 2, Scorpions 2 – Clay Gattey scored both goals to lead the Bulldogs. Samuel Duffy played well on offense while Ryan King and goalie Nathyn Horvath anchored the D. For the Scorpions, Kevin Droniak and Blake Jarvis scored while Cooper Buonocore played great offense and Michael Cook played a solid all around game.

Tornadoes 2, Tigersharks 1 – Ryan Sullivan led the Tornado offense while Dillon Wikramanayake played great defense. Alex Klang closed the door with great goal tending. For the Tigersharks, Michael Meyer produced the lone ‘Shark goal off a sure-footed pass from Constantine Gregoire. Peyton Manning powered the defense, and Nick Rohrbacher did a great job as goal keeper.

Fierce Jaguars 5, SuperShooters 3 – Jamie Cochrane and Paul O’Leary led the Jaguar offense in the win. Andrew Svanda and Felix Summ had strong defensive efforts. For the ‘Shooters, Graham Hubbert and Travis Hanna scored while Noah Burhance and Nathaniel Dowd played well on D.

Strikers 5, Vikings 1 – Albert Dean (2), Scott Anderson, Christian Morlock and Dillon Palumbo powered the Striker offense in the win. For the Vikings, Sawyer Conrad scored off a nice assist from John Carlson as Matthew Stewart and James Barry anchored the defense.

Great Sharks 5, Wizards 1 – Kaj Djonne scored three goals to lead the Sharks to the win. Chris Healy and Calvin Witteveen also scored. For the Wizards, Deegan Beauchemin scored the lone goal and played well on defense. Goalie Brandon Rodriguez and Andrei Kalinowski were great in the field.

Boys U10

Wild Boyz 5, Pulverizing Peanuts 2 – Niles Wilson scored twice while Tom Giarratano, Ryan Durr and Anders Fogelberg all scored once to lead the Wild Boyz to the win. For the Peanuts, Brandon Cooper and Isaac Farrington scored while Knute Johnson and Garrett Cebry played well on D.

Gators 3, Orangutans 2 – Ryan Moyer, Connor Roche and Devin DiNicola scored goals and staked the Gators to a 3-0 lead and the Orangutans fought back with goals by Yossi Kohrman-Glaser and Jonathan Schwartz. Wesley Morlock chipped in an assist and played strong defense, but it was not enough in the end for the Orangutans. Vivek Tedla and Tom Meier also had strong games on defense for the Orangutans.

Average Joe’s 4, Powder Puffs 1 – Tim Kelly, Evan Swain, James Marusi and Rick Fuentes all scored to lead Joe’s to the win. Tyler Ruefenacht scored for the Powder Puffs with Matt Wood excellent in goal and Kevin Ovendorf, Justin Germak and Austin Isola solid on defense.

Golden Toasters 4, Strikers 0 – Richard Greenwood scored two goals and Patrick Milano and Alex Roche scored one apiece to lead the Toasters. Alec Lockhart was solid on D. For the Strikers, David Kent and Colin Moller played well on defense as Sean Watkins and Justin Weiner had fine performances.

Girls U10

Funky Monkeys 3, Shockers 0 – Kerry Scallon scored all three goals to lead the Monkeys to the win. Emily Albrecht and Emily Brisson were awesome on defense and Jennifer Indelicato and Taylor Zingaro played well at both ends of the field. For the Shockers, Emily Peters and Morgan Macchiarulo played strong games. Alanna Fridfertig and Claire Miles played great all over the field.

Raging Fire 4, Comets 0 – Molly Arneth, Lindsay Jossick, Dale Shearin, and Kristen DeGirolamo scored goals to power the offense. Lindsay Fuori was solid in net. Tami Corsi and Katie O’Hanlon played great on offense for the Comets. Sydney Hutchinson and Sarah Stofko were super on defense for the Comets.

Ligers 5, Funky Monkeys 1 – Lyndsey Pearlman and Lauren Sarna scored two goals apiece to lead the Ligers to the win. Meaghan Brophy also scored while Kacey Caplan was solid on D. For the Monkeys, Maggie Kost scored off an assist from Meagan Foy. Michelle Zarifis was superb in goal.

Ballhogs 1, Bulldogs 0 – Ariana Dominicus scored the lone goal to lift the ‘Hogs to the win. Olivia Ingham, Serena Kiss and Paige Thanasoulis played well. For the ‘Dogs, Haley Dunn, Emily Davis, Michelle Spanedda, Olivia Korth and Grace Winans all had strong efforts.

Girls U14

Hurricanes 3, Team (#4) 2 – Courtney Berko, Anna Bernath and Meredith Laperch all scored to lead the Hurricanes to the win. Marysa Audet, midfielder Lauren Hutchison and goalies Samantha Whitley and Kyra Smith played well. For Team #4, Zoe Elleston and Kristen Tasinani each scored a goal with assistance from Alexandra Grant, Jessica Balsano and forward Sara McMahon.

Tigers 2, The Unknown 0 – Justina Paproski and Alex Scarpa each scored to lead the Tigers. Jessica McDonald and Stephanie Jarvis both played well in goal. For The Unknown, Amanda Sweat and Audra Sarna had strong games while Katie Shirley and Jen Smith played well in the net.

Boys U14

Beverly Hillbillies 4, Flying Chipmunks 2 – Colin Cooper scored two goals and Carter Law added another goal to lead the Hillbillies. Jake Tolson also scored and played well in goal. JD Knapp was very active on defense. For the Chipmunks, Dakota Violante scored two goals on assists from Matt Hoffman and Liam Ferguson. Tom Mascher and Brian Wicki teamed up in goal. Robert Nordman and Austin Quinn had good games.

Knights 4, Wildfire 0 – Ryan LeMay, Thomas Murphy, Dimitirios Karemanos and Brandon Body all scored for the Knights in the win. Joe Christiano played well. For the Wild Fire, Andrew Haas, Brandon Luxkaranayagam, Zachary Baudisch and Patrick Shirley had solid performances.
