DANBURY HOSPITAL
Mary A. Nolan, RN, MS, has joined Danbury Hospital as its vice president of nursing and chief nursing officer. She previously served as executive vice president of care delivery and hospital general director at the Albany Medical Center of Albany, N.Y. She received the New York Organization of Nurse Executives Leadership Award in 2000.
Donald I. Katz, MD, a cardiologist, has joined the hospitalâs medical staff as a consulting physician, and will provide care at Health Specialists of Southbury, 141 Main Street North. Previously he had more than 25 years experience as a private practitioner with Ramapo Cardiology Associates, PC, in Suffern, New York. His areas of special interest include nutrition and the prevention of heart disease. He is board certified in internal medicine and cardiology.
 Catherine Winkler, RN, of Newtown, has been appointed to the new position of manager, Nursing Clinical Practice. She holds a masterâs degree in public health services administration and policy from New York Medical College and a bachelorâs degree in nursing from the University of Connecticut. She will work with all nurses and patient care managers toward the advancement of nursing practice.

WATERBURY HOSPITAL
Beatriz R. Olson, MD, FACTP, an attending physician, has passed her board re-certification exam in endocrinology, metabolism, and diabetes. She is the founder of Lotus: the Educational Center for Integrative Healing and Wellness, Inc., a not-for-profit, educational organization that uses an evidence-based approach to integrative medicine. She is a clinical professor of medicine at Yale and an endocrinologist in private practice in Middlebury.
 Glenn G. Taylor, MD, board-certified orthopedic surgeon and fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, has passed the exam for certification by the American Board of Spine Surgery. He also has been named a diplomate of board and elected a fellow of the American College of Spine Surgery. An attending surgeon at Waterbury and St Maryâs Hospitals, he has offices in Waterbury and Southbury.
