Breach
Police said they charged William Bolmer, 36, of 138 Underhill Road, Sandy Hook, with breach of the peace about 11 pm April 10.
Police said a South Main Street resident had complained that Bolmer had made threatening remarks to him in person and in a telephone call.
Police released Bolmer on a promise to appear April 19 in Danbury Superior Court.
MV Warrant
Police said Carrie Medici, 23, of Waterbury turned herself in April 11 at the police station after she learned police had a warrant for her arrest. Police said Medici had failed to appear in Danbury Superior Court in connection with a past motor vehicle incident.
Police said they charged her with failure to appear in court in connection with the missed court appearance, and with speeding and operating a motor vehicle while under suspension in connection with the past motor vehicle incident.
Police said they released Medici on a $1,500 bond for an April 25 appearance in court.
Loud Party
Police said they received a complaint about 11:30 pm April 12 concerning a loud party on White Oak Farm Road, near Platts Hill Road.
Police said they arrived on the scene an found an estimated 125 youths milling about the area. As police were speaking with the homeowner about the party, Patrick Shevlin, 18, of 11 Arlyn Ridge Road, caused a disturbance, according to police.
Police charged Shevlin with breach of peace and interfering with police. Police said they released Shevlin to the custody of his father for an April 26 appearance in Danbury Superior Court.
Vandalism
Police said a Huntingtown Road resident reported to them on the morning of April 7 that he found the windshields on his 1988 Ford Thunderbird and 1989 Toyota pickup truck smashed. Police ask anyone with information about the criminal mischief to contact them.
South Main Street
Police report a two-vehicle accident on South Main Street about 7:15 pm April 8.
Police said motorist Wellington C. Morton, 41, of Danbury, who was driving a 1985 Buick Regal southbound on South Main Street, slowed down and was struck from behind by southbound motorist Kevin J. Mariconda, 43, of Stratford, who was driving a 1996 Ford Taurus which was carrying five passengers.
There were no injuries. Police issued Mariconda a written warning for failure to drive a reasonable distance apart.
Pole Bridge
Police report they observed motorist Paul Marron, 42, of 6 Lakeview Terrace, Sandy Hook, driving on Pole Bridge on the afternoon of April 16 with an expired vehicle registration. Police said they stopped and investigated, and charged Marron with operating an unregistered motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle while under suspension, failure to return a suspended license, and operating a motor vehicle without automotive insurance.
Police released Marron on a promise to appear May 2 in Danbury Superior Court to answer the charges.
MV Charges
Police said they stopped a vehicle at the Exit 11 interchange of Interstate 84 about 1:15 am April 15 and investigated, lodging charges against driver Iuan Perez, 21, of New Haven. Police charged Perez with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and misuse of marker plates. Perez is scheduled to appear in Danbury Superior Court April 26 to answer the charges.
Police said they learned that a passenger in the stopped vehicle, Laura Feliciano, 18, of New Haven, was wanted by New Haven police on a warrant on a charge of failure to pay or plead to a motor vehicle charge. Newtown police turned over Feliciano to New Haven police.
Shots Fired
Police said they received reports of shots being fired at an Appleblossom Lane residence about 6:40 pm April 15. There were no injuries, police said.
Several neighbors had called to report that a white man was firing a handgun, police said. About four shots were fired, according to police.
On arriving, police learned that the man had left the area in a small white vehicle and then searched the area, finding George Geanuracos, 36, of 96 Huntingtown Road at the intersection of Cedar Hill Road and South Main Street.
Police said they investigated and found a .25-caliber handgun under the driverâs seat of the vehicle Geanuracos was driving.
Police said they charged Geanuracos with driving under the influence, breach of peace, carrying a pistol without a permit, and possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle.
After processing, police released Geanuracos on a $1,000 bond for a May 1 appearance in Danbury Superior Court.
Tunnel Road
Police said motorist Noel L. Golinski, 30, of 11 Papoose Hill Road was driving a 1994 GMC Jimmy westbound on Tunnel Road about 7:30 am April 11 when a deer ran in front of the vehicle, causing the GMC to strike an embankment and a utility pole. Police said they issued Golinski a written warning for making a restricted turn.
MV Tampering
Police said they found a 1985 Chevrolet, which had been stolen from Shelton, on fire in the woods off New Lebbon Road about 1 am April 18.
It is unclear who or what caused the fire, police said. Botsford firemen went to the scene to extinguish the blaze. Police impounded the vehicle. The case is under investigation.
DUI Charge
Police said they charged motorist Michael J. Konecny, 23, of Shelton with driving under the influence and evading responsibility about 11:30 pm April 17 at the intersection of Washington Avenue and Oakview Road. Konecny had failed field sobriety tests, police said.
Police said Konecny had just been involved in a motor vehicle accident on Mile Hill Road at Exit 11 of Interstate 84, after which the motorist that Konecny had struck pursued Konecny from the accident scene.
After processing, police released Konecny for an April 26 appearance in Danbury Superior Court to answer the charges.
Warrant
Police said they arrested David Csanadi, 24, of Aunt Park Lane April 18 on a warrant listing a charge of violation of probation in connection with a 1997 incident. Police said Csanadi surrendered at the police station about 8 pm after learning there was a warrant for his arrest. Police released him on a $2,500 surety bond for a May 1 appearance in Danbury Superior Court.
