Local Player Helps Power Arsenal

 

Jessica Oswald (second row, second from left), a 2001 graduate of Newtown High School, helped lead the Connecticut Football Club’s Arsenal U18 girls’ soccer team in the NORDIC Cup in Middlebury, Vermont last month. The team (led by former NHS coach, Matt Micros) competed in the U19 bracket and were named co-champions along with its sister U19 Arsenal team. Oswald has been a member of CFC Arsenal for four years and will be attending the University of Delaware in the fall.
