Vivian L. Brasslett

Vivian L. Brasslett, 70, a lifelong resident of the Georgetown-Weston area, died on September 12 at her home after an extended illness.  She was the wife of Harry J. Brasslett.

She was the mother of Thomas Morrissey of Sandy Hook.

Mrs Brasslett was born in the Georgetown section of Weston on December 29, 1930, a daughter of Gertrude (Peterson) Johnson of Weston and the late Vernon E. Johnson.

Prior to her retirement, she had been employed as a laboratory technician with the Perkin-Elmer Corporation, which later became part of the Silicon Valley Group.

In addition to her husband of 41 years and her son, Mrs Brasslett is survived by her children, Donna Pascarella of Boynton Beach, Fla., Michele Badger of Milo, Me., Barbara Allen of Weston, and Michael Brasslett of Weston; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother, Eugene Vernon Johnson.

Services were held September 17 in the Bouton Funeral Home, 31 West Church Street, Georgetown. The interment followed in Branchville Cemetery, Ridgefield.
